The Case Against Impeaching Trump MP3 CD – Audiobook, MP3 Audio, Unabridged by Alan Dershowitz (Author), Lawrence Richardson (Reader) Audio: Brilliance Audio, Hardcover: : Hot Books/ Skyhourse Publishing)

As a libertarian I have always appreciated Professor Dershowitz's opinions on the Constitution even when I disagree with him. He is even handed and sees his purpose as applying the correct Constitutional principle to every aspect of jurisprudence. If you seek truth about what the Constitution required then you must at least consider his arguments. It is revealing to discover how a lifetime liberal who was a supporter of Hillary Clinton has been treated by his own liberal community because he has not jumped on the bandwagon of those who seek to politically dispose of Trump because of rabid vitriol. No matter where you stand on Trump, you will learn important insights from this lifelong civil libertarian.

Dershowitz n this book offers a Constitutional perspective of the Impeachment Process rather than on the increasing factual reasons to do so.

Alan Dershowitz has been called “one of the most prominent and consistent defenders of civil liberties in America” by Politico and “the nation’s most peripatetic civil liberties lawyer and one of its most distinguished defenders of individual rights” by Newsweek. Yet he has come under partisan fire for applying those same principles to Donald Trump during the course of his many appearances in national media outlets as an expert resource on civil and constitutional law.

The Case Against Impeaching Trump seeks to reorient the debate over impeachment to the same standard that Dershowitz has continued to uphold for decades: the law of the United States of America, as established by the Constitution. In the author’s own words:

“In the fervor to impeach President Trump, his political enemies have ignored the text of the Constitution. As a civil libertarian who voted against Trump, I remind those who would impeach him not to run roughshod over a document that has protected us all for two and a quarter centuries. In this case against impeachment, I make arguments similar to those I made against the impeachment of President Bill Clinton (and that I would be making had Hillary Clinton been elected and Republicans were seeking to impeach her). Impeachment and removal of a president are not entirely political decisions by Congress. Every member takes an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution sets out specific substantive criteria that MUST be met.

I am thrilled to contribute to this important debate and especially that my book will be so quickly available to readers so they can make up their own minds.”

Professor Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School was described by Newsweek as “the nation’s most peripatetic civil liberties lawyer and one of its most distinguished defenders of individual rights.” Italian newspaper Oggi called him “the best-known criminal lawyer in the world,” and The Forward named him “Israel’s single most visible defender—the Jewish state’s lead attorney in the court of public opinion.” Dershowitz is the author of 30 non-fiction works and two novels. More than a million of his books have been sold worldwide, in more than a dozen different languages. His recent titles include the bestseller The Case For Israel, Rights From Wrong, The Case For Peace, The Case For Moral Clarity: Israel, Hamas and Gaza, and his autobiography, Taking the Stand: My Life in the Law.
