Textile Collage: Using Collage Techniques in Textile Art Hardcover – October 4, 2016 by Mandy Pattullo (Batsford) #IBRArtBooks
Fabulous book--lovely texture on the outside makes me want to pet it! Awesome pictures and descriptions, a book to look at over and over again!
Collage and textile work come together in an inspired collection of techniques and projects!
When designer Mandy Pattullo weds collage with textile work, the result is a happy marriage of techniques. Mandy shows how to transform those hoarded bits of fabric, trim, and memory-filled domestic textiles into something new and personal. From sourcing and unpicking found material to creating portraits with transferred images, and projects too, Textile Collage is a unique resource of creative ideas.
About the Author
Mandy Pattullo trained as a surface pattern and textile designer and now is a textile artist, exhibiting her own work around the UK and also running textile and printmaking workshops. Her work is based on collage technique, and she makes a conscious effort not to buy new fabric; instead, she repurposes the range of beautiful existing pieces that can be found everywhere.
