DASH Done Slow: The DASH Diet Slow Cooker Cookbook Paperback – May 24, 2016 by Karen Frazier (Rockridge Press)(IBRCookBooks)

This book has enough information for you if you're just starting out with this diet. Helpful basics right at the beginning, and conversion charts too. There are a few helpful pictures, and if you like a book with no-frills recipes and descriptions, then this is for you. However, for me, a couple of things could have upped my rating:

1) pictures of the recipes. I'm one of those visual people, so not having a "this is what it's SUPPOSED to look like" reference is going to be difficult for me.

2) Every recipe has a helpful nutrition blurb at the bottom ,as well as how many servings it makes at the top. But nowhere do any of the recipes tell you how MUCH a serving is. For example it will say "Makes 6 servings" and "each serving is 167 calories," but it doesn't tell you exactly what that 167-caloroe serving size equates to. Is it a cup? Three fourths of a cup? I guess you're supposed to separate the whole batch into 6 containers?? Who knows. It's a good baseline but that info would be helpful.
