The Boudoir Photography Cookbook: 60 Recipes for Tempting Photos Paperback – July 7, 2015 by Jennifer Rozenbaum (Amherst Media)

Writer Jen Rozenbaum’s concept is a simple one: you need sixty separate techniques for putting together dynamite boudoir photographs. Going beyond the basics, Rozenbaum offers the nuanced tweaks and details required to really make your work stand out.

Covering lenses, wardrobe choices, and lighting, Rozenbaum gets at the little things which turn a boudoir photo shoot from good to wow. For her, confidence is a must as her own helps elicit it in her subjects.

The book gets straight to the point, and even skips an introduction. The photographs do all the talking. Lighting setups are varied but are often simple, including the use of natural light. The models are of every imaginable body type and all diverse backgrounds and looks. Most importantly, author Rozenbaum gives the explanations behind her choices. She both shows and tells how she got from concept to finished product.

Written in a refreshing and clear style, this book offers technical information in an easy to comprehend format and style.
