Non Campus Mentis: World History According to College Students Hardcover by Anders Henriksson (Workman Publishing Company)

This is absolutely the funniest laugh-out-loud material imaginable! Having taught at the college and graduate school levels myself, I find it completely believable that students would actually write these bits. The misspellings, misstatements and the obvious misunderstandings of what the professor really said are funny enough, but the clear impression that many students have that "it is better to write something rather than nothing," apparently in the hope that they could potentially stumble across a "fact" or two which might earn them a few extra points, brings the wildly creative, if unintentional, hilarity to a whole new level.

Who knew, for example, that WWII ended when "for some reason Hitler became depressed," that in the 19th century girls "were usually sent to finishing schools where the point was, of course, to finish them off," and that after the Berlin Wall "was built somewhere in Europe," JFK "soothed the masses with his story about 'Itch Ben, the Berliner'?"

It's helpful if you have some knowledge of actual history and the entries are best enjoyed in small doses. I like to read until I burst out laughing (usually within a page or two) and then savor the material for at least a few days as I can count on smiling and chuckling every time I think about it.
