Duck Pond Epiphany: A Novel Paperback – by Tracey Barnes Priestley (She Writes Press)

This was a really good read. Well written, great character development, superb dialogue and setting, and a story about a REAL woman. By REAL I mean that the main character in this book, Lee, is someone I could relate to on an every day level. She's in mid-life, she is ordinary, not flashy and totally focused on her self, not consumed by fashion and worldly things. She is just like you, me and any other woman living her life in America.

Priestley has written every woman's story. And she has written it superbly. We all grow tired of living the same mundane existence day in and day out, and we decide it's time to try something new. For Lee, she feels removed from her husband, Brian, and doubts that they will ever recover their marriage. Lee is a mother, a painter, a friend, a wife, and a woman in search of something more at the middle of her life. At a crossroads, Lee must decide what's most important to her.

In Duck Pond Epiphany, the reader experiences the emotions, struggles and love that it takes to make the reach across what seems to have become stale and attempt one more chance.
