Vegetarian Cooking & Vegetable Classics Paperback – 2008 by Christine; Denny, Roz Ingram (Hermes House)
I’ve got to say it: My book is the 2010 edition - oversize, heavy, hard-cover book with dust jacket with 512 semi-glossy pages. All of the pages have at least 1 color photo on them but usually have many more. The book has 300 recipes and 1400+ color photos. There is also information about 180 vegetable ingredients used in recipes.
Besides color photographs, there are also Information Paragraphs in most recipes to give important extra information about a recipe.
The recipes found in this book range from traditional to non-traditional, and they come from around the world. The recipe measurement s are given for both the UK and US systems.
Note that since this book was published, there are more devices to use to prepare foods and cook them.
For example, I take recipes that I like and change them to accommodate using more up-to-date preparation methods like my: Instant Pot, slow cooker, omelet pan, toaster oven with air fryer, steamer, indoor rotating (and non-rotating) pizza ovens, wok (electric and non-electric), bread maker, ice cream maker, etc. I also prepare vegetables with my spiralizer instead of a knife or grater.
This cookbook was written by food writer Roz Denny. The book was published by Hermes House, London.
After the Introduction, the book is divided into the following 2 main Sections: ‘Vegetables’ (9 sub-Sections, found on pages 18-139) and the ‘Recipes’ (7 sub-Sections, found on pages 140-503).
At the end is the Index.
This book has some really good recipes in it. They are foods that I know, love, and have been making for some time. These foods are healthy and taste good.
Cookbook collectors will love these recipes. For this reason, this book may not stay on their library shelf for long because it may end up on the coffee table to pick up at whim!
