The book is very beautiful. I bought two, one for myself and one for my daughter who has left the nest and is beginning to call me about making certain family recipes. I Like the spiral binding which makes each page easy for writing. The size is not too small, not to large. My only complaint, which is rather large, was there was no tab for vegetable/ side dish recipes- at the very least there should be a blank tab so we could add our own category. There is a Salad category tab, which really should read Vegetables- so I'm using that one for veggie/side dishes. Catagories are: starters, salads, seafood,pasta, meat, sweets.
