Jamie's Dinners: The Essential Family Cookbook Hardcover by Jamie Oliver (Hyperion) (#IBRCookBooks)
In Jamie’s Dinners, Jamie Oliver shares 120 of his favorite family recipes kicking off with his (and his website visitors’) Top Ten (Roast Chicken with Lemon and Rosemary Roast Potatoes; Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas; Simple Baked Lasagna…). His “Family Tree” section gives some basic building block recipes and Jamie’s ideas on how to use them to liven up our own mealtime staples (Pesto, Tomato Sauce). “Five Minute Wonders” are just that, and his favorite Sarnies (that’s sandwiches) take a humble lunchtime standard to delicious new heights. His “Pasta” section gives some new twists on old standards (Farfalle with Carbonara and Spring Peas; Awesome Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni). It just keeps on going on, there’s not a dull or unapproachable recipe in the lot.
Jamie’s Dinners is a highy personal collection from a very public chef. The photographs of the finished dishes and Jamie with friends and family are a perfect match to his down-to-earth style, infectious enthusiasm, and obvious joy he receives from feeding his own family.
Thanks for sharing Jamie!
